About Giclee

Dick Hancock Signature Series Produced by Giclée

Giclée (zhee-clay) printing provides the most precise fine art reproduction available. Giclée is a French word meaning “spraying of ink”. The Giclée process delivers ink to the media closest to the original colors as possible. Prints can be reproduced from transparency or directly from the original without compromising any detail or color vibrancy.

These are unique, hand produced Giclée prints reproduced from the original image on acid free, 100% cotton canvas using fine art pigmented inks to obtain maximum stability. The pigmented inks have a fade resistance of 80 years or more without color shift, depending on lighting conditions.

You can watch this video to get an idea of the full Giclee process.

The Signature Series is offered in unstretched form and is delivered to you in a tube. Once received, they can be stretched and framed (if desired) by your local frame shop.

Please watch this video for more details on stretching the canvas pieces.

Similar to any framed work of art, these images should not be displayed in direct sunlight or near a direct source of heat, such as a fireplace or heat register. Although these images are printed on water resistant canvas, all prints should be kept away from water.

Giclée Fine Art Prints are produced by the Printing Division of Hancock Enterprises, under strict guidelines and standards.
